The Bhutan Shooting Federation (BSF) successfully organized a Summer Coaching Camp from 1st to 12th July 2025 at the federation’s training facilities. The camp was designed to introduce and strengthen the fundamental skills of rifle and pistol shooting among young aspiring athletes, while also nurturing discipline, focus, and teamwork.
Over the 12 days, participants received structured training that combined technical shooting drills, physical conditioning, and mental preparation techniques. Experienced coaches guided the athletes through sessions focused on:
2. Trigger control and sight alignment
3. Breathing and concentration exercises
4. Physical fitness for shooting stability
5. Introduction to competition rules and ethics
The camp also emphasized the values of sportsmanship, integrity, and community spirit, aligning with BSF’s vision of shaping the future of Bhutan’s shooting sports as a beacon of excellence and inclusivity.
We were encouraged to see the enthusiasm and commitment of the participants, many of whom displayed promising talent and remarkable improvement over the course of the camp. Such initiatives reflect BSF’s continuous efforts in youth development and in fostering a strong foundation for Bhutan’s future in shooting sports.
